HARRI KOSKINEN Finland, b. 1970

Harri Koskinen (Karstula 1970) is an industrial designer and the head of the Friends of Industry Ltd. creative design studio, based in Helsinki, Finland. His expertise spans design research and development, as well as ethical product solutions. He has curated and designed numerous exhibitions worldwide. His designs can be found in the collection of many museums including MoMA, New York.

Design collaborations have been awarded e.g. the Fennia Prize (2017), the Good Design Award, Chicago (2017); the Monitor Innovation Award, Denmark (2016); the IABM Design and Innovation Awards, London (2016); the Kaj Franck Design Prize, Helsinki (2014); Pro Finlandia Medal, Finland (2014); and Compasso dOro and Compasso dOro Selezione, Italy (2004).

Long-term cooperation partners are Anora, Artek, Finlandia Vodka, Genelec, Iittala, Issey Miyake, Marimekko, Muji, Panasonic, Seiko and Woodnotes. Recent collaborative projects are tableware for Finnair with Iittala, wall hook for Thonet and light object for Hermès.
